Golf club developer Booth Golf & Leisure has unveiled plans for the practice facilities at Selby Golf Club in Yorkshire.
A key component of project is the construction of a 270-yard driving range, complete with a new teeing area and a variety of target greens, and the creation of a new par-3 Short Course that will feature two tees for each of the three holes to provide golfers with a dynamic and engaging practice environment.
The plans for both projects have been drawn up by leading golf architect Jonathan Gaunt of Gaunt Golf Design. Preparations for the site are set to begin in the coming weeks, with material importation and shaping activities starting in the new year.
The club has recently completed a major renovation of its 18-hole course, with Gaunt Design also drawing up the design for a complete bunker renovation and course remodelling programme of the original 1930s course design by Fred Hawtree and JH Taylor that was completed in October 2022.
