Pravets Golf & Spa have announced that the Latvian Golf Federation has selected Pravets to hold its forthcoming Junior Training Camp. The General Secretary of the Latvian Golf Federation, Aiga Nesaule, will travel to Pravets with four of its promising junior golfers from 28 March to 06 April for the 9 day pre-season training camp. The training camp will be spearheaded by Pravets Golf Club Head of Instruction PGA Professional William Dow who will lead the golfers through a training programme combining technical and strategic aspects of the game.
Pravets Golf Club has gained a reputation over the last few years as a golf facility and resort which can host top level golf events and the superb practice and academy facilities are a key part of this. The likes of the PGAs of Europe, the European Golf Association and of course the Bulgarian Golf Association, have placed their confidence in Pravets many times in the last 4 years to host such high profile events such as the Bulgarian Open, The EGA Mid Amateur and Team Championships and the Bulgarian Open. The UniCredit PGAs of Europe Championships enters its fourth year in 2015.
It is this growing reputation within the industry which is now attracting National PGAs, Golf Federations, Tour Operators and Golf Professionals, to travel with clients and students and base themselves at Pravets for coaching, golf development and golfing events. The onsite four star Riu hotel offers the golfers excellent accommodation with spa, fitness and an indoor / outdoor pool.
The Pravets Golf Academy boasts two indoor swing studio’s with the latest coaching technology, opening onto the impressive floodlit driving range from where shots can be struck and the results analysed or as an indoor classroom during inclement weather.
There are grass tees which a European Tour event would envy, as well as a putting green and pitching green, both floodlit.
The Peter Harradine designed course will provide the Latvian golfers with a great test of golf and boasts arguably the best greens and course conditions in Bulgaria.
Alan Rogut, Braemar Golf Director of Golf at Pravets commented, “we are delighted the Latvian Golf Federation has placed their trust in Pravets and I know they will not be disappointed. Pravets always seems to exceed everyone’s expectations and we look forward to welcoming Aiga and the junior golfers to Pravets and Bulgaria next month”.
