Old Course tops list of most Instagrammed layouts

The much-photographed Cape Kidnappers in New Zealand took third place in the list, with 11,305, while Pebble Beach, a bucket-list course for so many golfers, was the first of four US layouts to make the top 15, with 8,546 postings. Bandon Dunes (5^th), Augusta National (8^th) and Oakmont (9^th) were the other three American layouts featured.

Scotland bagged three other courses in the top 15, with Royal Dornoch (11^th) attracting 3,685 hashtags, Castle Stuart (14^th) garnering 915, and Trump International Golf Link in Aberdeen taking the final spot in the hashtag hotllist with 637 links.

Australian courses also featured strongly, with Royal Melbourne taking 7^th, Barnbougle Dunes 12^th, and Barnbougle Lost Farms 13^th. Cabot Cliffs flew the flag for Canada in sixth spot, while Royal County Down in Northern Ireland took tenth place with 3,963 hashtags.
