Extensive new facilities at the Old Course Hotel will open in May 2000. The £5 million investment adds 23 new bedrooms, including 16 suites, and new meeting facilities. The development brings the total number of rooms at The Resort to 148 and increases the suite stock to nearly 25% of the total accommodation.
The new development will extend considerably the hotel’s frontage on to the 17th tee and fairway of the Old Course. Twenty-two of the new bedrooms will enjoy views over three links courses (The Old, New and Jubilee).
The Old Course owns and manages the Duke’s Course, St Andrews first and only parkland golf course designed by five times Open Champion Peter Thomson.
