The dawn of a new era for golf tourism in Turkey is set to break next summer with the launch of a new 18-hole championship golf course on the Dalaman Coast.
The par-72 layout, which will be the region’s first golf venue when it opens at Hilton Dalaman Sarıgerme Resort & Spa next June, has been designed by Bristol-based golf course architects International Design Group.
Located just a 20-minute drive from Dalaman International Airport, the course – which will be managed by The Hilton Dalaman Sarıgerme Resort & Spa – has been created on a site bordered by the beach resort to the south and a river to the west.
The resort first opened in 2009, but started out with just a driving range and a golf academy.
Measuring 6,152 metres from the back tees (6,728 yards) and built on natural sandy soil using the best sustainable practices, the layout will feature sweeping uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean. Complementing the course will be facilities including a driving range, putting green, short game area, clubhouse, restaurant and halfway house.
