The recent news that Irish golfing legend, Ryder Cup player and international golf course designer Christy O’Connor Jnr has been appointed to upgrade and develop the golf course at Moyvalley Hotel & Golf Resort has been greatly welcomed by the Irish golfing, tourism and business community.
One of the first signs of Christy O’Connor Jnr’s fingerprints on the course is to plant two magnificent Irish Oak trees on the opening holes as a signature feature. To signal the new era of the golf course, the Directors of Moyvalley Hotel & Golf Resort Rita Shah, Mark McCarthy and Vichai Tripipatkul are delighted to announce the new name of the course to be “Twin Oaks Championship Course” at Moyvalley Hotel & Golf Resort.
Speaking on the announcement of “Twin Oaks Championship Course” Director, Rita Shah said: “On behalf of Moyvalley Hotel & Golf Resort we are pleased to announce the new name of the golf course to be “Twin Oaks Championship Course”. We look forward to working with Christy O’ Connor Jnr and his team and to seeing his vision for the course and future plans coming to fruition in the months ahead.”
Christy O’Connor Jnr said: “The Irish Oak tree is a national symbol of strength and is a key part of Ireland’s natural heritage. Twin Oaks Championship Course at Moyvalley Hotel & Golf Resort is truly a hidden gem in North Kildare. I am looking forward to upgrading and developing this course to bring it to its full potential. We have many exciting announcements and plans which over the course of this project will be announced.
“Twin Oaks Championship Course when completed will be positioned in line with the top golf courses in Ireland. I look forward to working closely with the Directors, members and the team here at Moyvalley Hotel & Golf Resort and to welcoming new members on board”
