Mount Juliet joins IMG Prestige network

10.18am 11th December 2019 - Course Development

Mount Juliet in Ireland has joined the IMG Prestige global reciprocal network. Host to two editions of the World Golf Championship and three Irish Opens, the club has also recently announced that the 2020 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open will be played on their Jack Nicklaus designed course.

Mount Juliet is a five-star resort set in over 500 acres of countryside. The resort offers 125 bedrooms split between a Georgian manor house and the Hunter’s Yard. To match the golf course, the resort also offers equestrian, fishing and other estate activities, along with their own dining experience in the Michelin-star restaurant, the Lady Helen.

Mount Juliet was a family home until 1989 and the Manor house remains one of Ireland’s finest country houses, as well as being County Kilkenny’s most acclaimed country estate.

Russell Hannah, Senior Director, IMG Golf, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Mount Juliet to the IMG Prestige network. It’s a renowned tournament venue and it is great news that the Irish Open is returning to the resort next year. We are confident that IMG Prestige members from around the world will enjoy discovering the resort and playing the impressive Jack Nicklaus course”.

Matthew Sandercock, Director of Golf at Mount Juliet, commented: “Mount Juliet is internationally recognised for its five-star hospitality, so we look forward to welcoming IMG Prestige members to the club, as we’re sure they will enjoy a great experience on and off course. 2020 will be an important year for us with the return of the Irish Open, so joining IMG Prestige is a fantastic way to close 2019”.

IMG Prestige is a global network of over 200 world-class golf courses located across 34 countries.
