Set within 104 hectares of mixed pine forest and sandy ridges the feel of the natural sandy ground will be maintained to develop the particular characteristics of the golf course.
Working closely alongside Colin will be European Golf Design, the joint venture design company of the PGA European Tour and IMG. Established in 1992, European Golf Design has won design commissions throughout Europe and beyond to Africa, the Middle East, the Caribbean and Asia.
The Company was established as an avenue through which the Tour could begin to develop a number of venues throughout Europe that would host Tour events in those areas; would allow IMG Golf clients, along with every other professional golfer, to have an in-house design team at their disposal to assist in the design of new golf developments they are involved with, as well as providing a design company of the highest calibre that was available to other clients for the design of their projects.
Each of the design team currently employed by European Golf Design has been hand-picked for their skill and ability to create great golf courses, and whose collective experience involves over one hundred and fifty projects spread throughout the world
Other projects under design and construction in association with Colin Montgomerie are
Sugar Hill, Barbados; Punta Perla, Dominican Republic; The Dutch Golf Club, Holland; Rublevka, Russia; and Rowallan Castle, Scotland.
Projects in Turkey already completed by European Golf Design are the Pasha Course and Sultan Course, both at Antalya Golf Club.
