The significant investment in Le Touquet Golf Resort’s on- and off-course facilities has been recognised in Golf World’s new Top 100 Golf Resorts in Continental Europe rankings.

Featuring the restored La Mer course, a new clubhouse, and the refurbished Le Manoir Hôtel, Le Touquet has climbed four places to 16th in the influential list.

Laurent Boissonnas, CEO of Le Touquet Golf Resort, said: “A century after Le Touquet was Europe’s most fashionable resort, offering the best of links golf, wide open beaches and chic French hospitality, we are preparing for a new era of golf travel. With more golfers looking to drive and stay from spring 2021, Le Touquet is the closest Continental golf resort to the UK, and we look forward to welcoming back our British guests to a destination officially confirmed as one of the finest in Europe.”

La Mer course has received praise for its recent restoration, which included the recovery of four Harry Colt and Charles Alison original holes lost to the dunes during World War II. The layout is included at no.6 in Golf World’s best European resort courses, and golfers also have La Forêt course, as well as the nine-hole Le Manoir, at their disposal during a golf break.
