Las Colinas Golf & Country Club,Valencia, Spain, has underlined its commitment to sustainability with a new fleet of Club Car electric low speed vehicles (LSVs).
The acclaimed 330-acre resort, just south of Alicante managed by Troon Golf, operates under a strict environmental protection plan, which its new fleet of zero-emission vehicles adheres to.
With a range of up to 48 km on a single charge, the new fleet of ten Villager 2 LSVs will ensure residents, members and guests visiting one ofSpain’s prime golf estates receive the best in quality, comfort and service, while preserving the natural beauty of the community’s surrounds.
Commenting on the new Club Car fleet, Las Colinas Golf & Country Club’s Managing Director Cristóbal Guerrero said: “With a reputation for manufacturing environmentally friendly golf cars and a first-class after-sales customer service, Club Car was the perfect fit for us.”
“As Troon Golf’s preferred supplier of world-leading electric golf vehicles, we knew Club Car’s products would help sustain our eco-friendly, low-density housing development, and we look forward to a long and successful partnership,” he added.
Club Car’s electric vehicles offer a clean, green alternative to petrol and diesel-powered transport, and help to significantly lower the overall emission of pollutants in the air – a key element in Las Colinas Golf & Country Club’s environmental protection plan.
As running costs are generally lower for electric vehicles and they use energy more efficiently than internal combustion engines, Las Colinas residents and guests are able to contribute to the estate’s green programme that intrinsically respects its surroundings.
Club Car’s improved AC (Alternating Current) electricity transmission system and powerful drivetrain, has made the vehicles more nimble, with smoother direction changes, and increased manageability.
