IMG Golf Course Services has recently been selected to provide golf course construction management services at the Secret Garden project in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, China and the Ba Na Hills project in Danang, Vietnam.
Secret Garden, an integrated resort located 2 hours drive from Beijing, is being developed by the VXL Group from Malaysia and will include skiing, hotels, residential, multiple golf course and many other recreational amenities.
The first golf course has been designed by Golfplan from the U.S.A and construction will begin later this month. Mr Lim Chee Wah, Chairman, commented, “We are very pleased to have IMG as part of our project team at Secret Garden. Our aim is to develop an overall resort that is high end and very unique in the China market and having IMG’s expertise on board to ensure the quality of our first golf course is very important. This golf course’s uniqueness includes perfect cooler weather throughout the hot summer months in Beijing and most parts of China which should prolong guest stay periods in Secret Garden.”
Ba Na Hills Golf Club is a golf and residential project being developed by Sun Group and located in a beautiful valley with mountain backdrops very close to the Danang city center.
Mr. Dang Minh Truong, General Director of Sun Group commented, “Having previously selected IMG as the golf course designer for our Ba Na Hills project, there was excellent synergy to also appoint them in this construction management role.” Construction is now under way at Ba Na Hills with completion expected in late 2012.

IMG Golf Course Services has previously completed two golf course construction management projects in Vietnam – Ocean Dunes in Phan Thiet and Montgomerie Links in Danang. IMG’s head office team is supported by project management staff that are hired and located on site for the duration of golf course construcdtion.
