Horton Park installs InRange technology

12.43pm 19th May 2021 - Course Development

Horton Park Golf Club in Surrey has become the latest UK golf venue to install InRange’s ball-tracking system.

The Epsom-based club has installed the technology at its 26-bay driving range, which will create an environment that promotes fun and entertainment for casual and beginner golfers as well as technologically-aided practice sessions for improving and skilled players.

Richard Haygarth, Horton Park Golf Club Director, said: “Horton Park Golf has always been a welcoming and family-friendly venue. Our offering encapsulates more than just the driving range with our adventure golf and escape rooms as we see a diverse variety of customers using our facilities. Having previously had ball tracking technology installed on our driving range, we chose to upgrade the facility with Inrange based on its inclusive qualities and the fun, interactive and diverse experience it creates. With Inrange we hope to further elevate our offering to our customers so that they can enjoy their time here even more”.

Each of the site’s 26 bays will be fitted with Inrange tracking, which will extend to a further 26 bays on the new second floor when the site’s range expansion is complete. Players will have a choice of ways to play. First, the single player Inrange product, which offers everything progress-oriented players need for structured, productive practice.

Users can also choose to download the Inrange app to track shots on their Android or iOS devices and capture comprehensive shot data for post-practice review and analysis.

The final choice is the Inrange+ multiplayer experience, which offers interactive multiplayer games for every skill level. They include the newly-released Inrange+ courses which gives players access to championship golf courses from the comfort of their own bay.

Each bay will be equipped with touchscreens, gallery screens and seating so that users can enjoy the multiplayer experience.

Inrange co-founder Nick Longley said: “Horton Park Golf Club is a fantastic venue, offering a broad range of activities for a diverse clientele – from a full-featured driving range and adventure golf to escape rooms. The installation of Inrange tracking will bridge the gap between existing golfers and visitors drawn to Horton Park’s range of attractions by offering a new, accessible way to play golf. We are thoroughly looking forward to working with Richard, Matthew and the Maple Leaf team.”

This announcement marks the sixth UK venue and as Inrange continues to grow and build its presence around the world, new partner ranges have debuted or are set to open in locations including Abu Dhabi, the US, South Africa, Australia and the UK.
