Harradine drives Cortina

Harradine Golf has recently made rapid progress towards finalising the routing for the new course at the Cortina Golf Club in the Dolomites.

A meeting was held recently in Dubai between the Cortina Golf Club represented by Mr. Giovanni de Bona, Mr. Silvio Bernardi, Mr. Sergio Vellar and Stefano Reniero and Harradine Golf represented by Paolo Luongo and Peter Harradine.

The meeting was held to thrash out the final routing of the second nine holes. Dubai was chosen as the venue as it was the most convenient location for all parties concerned especially as Peter could not travel to Europe during that period due to other important commitments.

The reason for the impromptu meeting was the sudden urgency demonstrated by the authorities to review the latest plan seeing as the initial routing was subject to heated arguments and negotiations between the client, the authorities and Harradine Golf.

The Dubai session actually produced a very good compromise which included two par 5’s, and some absolutely astonishing holes that all qualify for that sometimes overrated ‘signature’ definition. Furthermore, the unique and magnificent Dolomites produce an incredible back-drop to those new holes.
