M&E are working on plans for re-working of the bunkering and the green surrounds within the existing, strong layout. The draft master plan was recently presented at a members evening and, after consultation, it will be presented to the full membership for a vote to determine the final scope of work.

“Furesø is a very forward thinking club with an excellent 27 hole layout and practice facilities. We are greatly impressed with their continuing ambition to improve what they offer their large membership and we are delighted to have been selected to help them in this project.” commented Tom Mackenzie of Mackenzie & Ebert Ltd.

This selection follows Mackenzie & Ebert’s successful work at nearby Copenhagen Golf Club, the oldest club in Scandinavia, where they completed extensive work on this beautiful old parkland course.

Peter Herskind, Chairman of Furesø Golfklub said: M&E’s design philosophy of “less is more” mirrors our own beliefs on classical Fureso Golfklubb near Copenhagengolf. M&E have demonstrated that the subtlety of their approach will maintain and even enhance the character of our courses and the protected landscape, whilst at the same time improving significantly the strategic element and joy of playing for golfers at every level.

“Furthermore, we value M&E’s attention to the preservation of natural features and to sustainable and cost-efficient maintenance, important parts of Furesø Golfklub’s position as an environmentally responsible golf club.”
