Frilford Heath, one of the top golf clubs in the South of England and host to the 2013 English Amateur Championship, has commissioned Eagle to improve its branding and redesign its branded collateral.
General Manager Jimmy James was keen to make sure the club’s branding was in the best shape possible. Having looked at various design alternatives, Eagle recommended making some subtle design changes to the famous shield to give it a more three dimensional appearance. The resulting logo has a much more distinguished appearance, especially on printed collateral.
Eagle is now implementing the new branding, starting with a new set of Brandmark Guidelines. These will ensure the club has a set of logo design standards and a suite of digital artwork formats for any supplier working with Frilford Heath’s branding.
Following a Course Measure the tee signage on all three courses has also been revised. Eagle has refurbished all the single posts for the Red Course, and redesigned and replaced the tee plates on all three courses’ tee posts with deep-etched zinc panels, each course’s tee plates being differentiated by its particular colour. Eagle has also designed new large format score cards and green fee tickets to carry the new branding.
Jimmy James is delighted with the subtle changes Eagle has made to the design of the club logo, and with the other branding tools Eagle has developed: “In such a competitive marketplace, it’s essential that we make every aspect of Frilford Heath’s branding work harder.”
“The changes to the logo make it much more impressive visually.Having a full set of guidelines makes it much easier for us to show suppliers what sort of design standards we expect when they work with our logo, and with a full suite of digital artwork we can now make sure any supplier has exactly what they need to produce the best results in terms of reproduction, no matter what material they’re working with.”
“As a specialist in golf club branding and implementation, working with Eagle is ideal. Our branding has been given a thorough makeover from top to bottom, and the club is now better placed to market itself and make a great first impression.”
