Club Car will today serve up a fleet of golf cars for Ronald McDonald and guests when the restaurant chain hosts one of Russia’s biggest charity golf events of the year at Zavidovo PGA National Russia.
More than 80 golfers, guests and media are attending the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Golf Tournament at the acclaimed new golf resort, whose club captain is Khamzat Khasbulatov, McDonald’s CEO in Russia and President of the company’s Eastern Division.
The venue, which opened in September 2012 and is managed by Braemar Golf, has taken delivery of a fleet of Club Car vehicles, including 10 Precedent i2L golf cars, a Precedent i2 four-seater passenger vehicle and utility vehicle, which will be used during the eagerly anticipated event.
According to Phil Jones, Braemar Golf Regional Director for Middle East and Russia, the new fleet will showcase the resort’s assets to their best.
“The sponsor has spared no expense for this year’s Ronald McDonald House Charities Golf Tournament, and will be treating guests to a memorable day, with world-class golf, fine dining and an international acoustic band, flown in from the UK for the evening’s entertainment,” said Phil Jones.
Zavidovo PGA National Russia, 90km from Moscow on the road to St Petersburg, is the latest addition to Russia’s growing portfolio of golf courses and was created by European Golf Design.
The acclaimed 7,400-yard course blends heath and links style features, and is part of a 1,300-hectare resort and residential community development.
“Club Car’s golf and utility vehicles will play an important role at this year’s RMHC Golf Tournament, and the ongoing operation of the resort,” continued Phil Jones. “With such a high profile event, there is no room for error. You need the best of the best, and given our longstanding relationship with Club Car and its reputation of high quality and reliability, we were happy to recommend the brand to Zavidovo PGA National Russia.”
