The National Azerbaijan Golf Club, the country’s first golf course, has invested in a fleet of Precedent i2 golf cars from Club Car, the world’s largest manufacturer of small-wheel, zero-emissions electric vehicles, to help underline the customer’s experience.
The Official Supplier to The 2014 Ryder Cup has provided The European Challenge Tour venue, which is managed by Troon Golf, with 20 Precedent i2 vehicles, all fitted with the company’s market-leading Visage GPS technology.
The interactive touch screen Visage platform provides golfers with hole-by-hole flyovers, course diagrams and yardages for each hole. The system even enables scores to be emailed after the round and can provide a live leaderboard during competitions. The technology is also being utilised by The National Azerbaijan Golf Club to take food orders from golfers while on the course and to remind them of any special offers in the clubhouse.

The fleet has been in constant operation since the venue opened and the great thing about the vehicles is they continue to run as they did on the very first day.
“The Visage GPS mobile golf information system has been a great choice for us, as it enables us to ensure every car is in the ideal condition, maximise the user’s safety, but most importantly to enhance the enjoyment of our customers when on the course.

So much so that we have ordered another 20 vehicles that will help to further increase our service offering and allow us to continue to exceed our customers’ expectations.”
Designed by Jon Hunt at the International Design Group, The National Azerbaijan Golf Club is the first and only 18-hole championship golf course in Azerbaijan. Reflecting Azerbaijan’s status as a young golfing market, the course has been carefully situated to enjoy stunning views over the nearby Caucusus Mountains and is designed to be suitable for every level of golfer.
