The Gary Wolstenholme Academy at Carus Green Golf Club has launched a new state of the art GC2 golf simulator. Together with its teaching studios, video rooms and putting and chipping suite, the Club believes that it now offers the best golfing facilities in the North West of England.
The GC2 simulator offers club fitting, ball fitting and simulation all in one and replaces the older ProTee simulator. With the ability to play a number of the world’s best golf courses, plus numerous skills challenges such as the longest drive and nearest the pin, the new software will benefit all golfers, at whatever stage of progression, as Carus’s PGA professional, Lee Edwards, explains.
“The new GC2 golf simulator is the ultimate in modern golfing technology and we’re delighted to be able to offer it at the Gary Wolstenholme Academy.” he said. “It’s a very sophisticated system and enables me and the other professionals here, to teach using videos and numbers, permitting the golfer to analyse slow spin rates, launch angles, ball speed and smash factor. Together with the facilities that we already offer at the academy, this has taken tuition to the next level.”
The popular Kendal based club is renowned for its professional teaching, fitting rooms, flight scope custom fitting of equipment and swing analysis, all available from the cutting edge academy, which opened on site last year. In addition, a 16 bay floodlit golf driving range with automated tees, enables practice in all weathers and across all seasons.
Widely regarded as offering some of the best golfing facilities in the North of England, Carus Green features a challenging 18-hole parkland golf course aside the River Kent, with recently remodelled USGA specification greens.
The Club is renowned for its friendly welcome to all visitors. Its award winning contemporary clubhouse houses a luxurious function suite and spacious bar/restaurant, with stunning views overlooking the picturesque 18th hole to the Lake District fells beyond.
A well-stocked shop offers the very best golf brands such as Galvin Green, Under Armour, FootJoy, Callaway, Ping, Titleist and TaylorMade. Six PGA Professional golfers are on hand to provide tuition and advice, and collectively, offer many years of experience, having worked with players such as Seve Ballesteros and Nicolas Colsaerts.
