Visitors to Birchwood Park Golf Centre will have noticed a big difference recently following an £82,000 facelift of the venue.
The public pay-and-play facility received the investment from parent company Burhill Golf & Leisure – the UK’s leading golf course owner and operator – to refurbish its Kelvedon Suite function room and upgrade the gym equipment in its Horizones Health and Fitness Club.
The Kelvedon Suite, which hosts wedding receptions, formal dinners and private parties, has benefited from a £46,000 upgrade, with a new landing area, dance floor, décor, curtains and carpet. The suite can now accommodate 140 seated diners and up to 200 for buffet-style functions and dances.
Graham Rolland, Birchwood Park Golf Centre General Manager, said: “The Kelvedon Suite has received a complete makeover, and is now fully open and operational. The room looks much fresher and lighter, and enjoys stunning views over the 10th and 18th holes, making it the ideal party venue.”
Horizones Health and Fitness has taken delivery of £36,000 worth of new equipment, and the expanded gym now boasts seven total body cross trainers, eight treadmills and two rowing machines.
“The new equipment has generated a lot of interest for Horizones from the public, which is great,” added Graham Rolland. “This total investment has allowed us to fully modernise two integral parts of the centre, allowing our visitors to enjoy the very best social and fitness facilities in the Dartford area.”
Birchwood Park Golf Centre also has two golf courses – the 18-hole Main and Par-3 Orchard – complemented by a 41-bay covered and floodlit driving range.
