Bayhood No. 9, which features Asia’s first PGA branded golf academy, has been rated the best new course in China. The award from best-selling magazine Golf Digest placed the Beijing course at the top of the pile of new venues in China.
Judges ranked the five best courses on eight criteria as stipulated by Golf Digest which were shot values, playability, resistance to scoring, design variety, memorability, aesthetics, conditioning and ambience.
Bayhood No. 9 swept the board to celebrate its arrival as one of the most impressive new resorts in the Far East.
“We‘re delighted to be associated with such a world class facility and this award is recognition of its standing as one of the best courses in China,” said PGA director of property and development Robert Maxfield.
Bayhood No. 9 is owned by the Seavel Group and comprises an 18-hole golf course, clubhouse, PGA Golf Management-run golf academy, driving range, boutique, themed private dining restaurant and lake view private dining villas.
If the stunning course captures the spotlight, it makes a further impact with the impressive PGA Golf Academy set in the futuristic Nelson Haworth designed driving range which features a two tier facility.
Top class golf instruction with leading PGA pros is given in harness with the academy’s four state of the art swing studios fitted out with Trackman ball radar systems, Dartfish analysis software, the SAM PuttLab system and the latest 3D biomechanics system from K-Vest.
