TruePlaning with Vijay Singh at Wentworth in May

Yes! Golf (UK) – in conjunction with Harold Swash Putting School of Excellence (HSPSE) – has so far had a very fruitful August on the European Tour, but in a more grass roots way than usually…

Ross Fisher and Chris Wood have both been working with HSPSE director of instruction Phil Kenyon a lot recently, and have both been focusing on their putting technique using the Trueplane (much loved by Tour and club golfers alike).

Ross won the Irish Open on Sunday 1 August at the Killarney Fishing and Golf Club, while Chris Wood came 3rd. Ross has been using Trueplane since the BMW Championships at Wentworth in May. Chris has just been using Trueplane since The Open but he told reporters that Killarney is the best he has putted all year.

On the Ladies European Tour, meanwhile, Yani Tseng, who won the Women’s British Open on Sunday at Birkdale, has used Trueplane for a couple of years. Discussing her tactics at the championship with TruePlane designer Roger Brooks, she commented: “Using Trueplane has improved my putting stroke”. She has won 2 Majors this year and at 21 is the youngest woman to win 3 career Majors. With Tseng’s victory there are now18 Major wins in total for Trueplane players.

Top Challenge Tour performer in the 2009 / 2010 season, and winner of the 2010 Scottish Barclays Open Edoardo Molinari also works with Phil Kenyon and uses Trueplane and its sister aid Uniputt. Earlier in the year he asked for another Uniputt to be sent to him urgently to him at home in Italy. He is on record as saying: “I often practice with Uniputt and Trueplane. They both give me the exact feeling of how I should move the putter during the stroke and they are both some of the best putting aids I’ve ever seen!”

The Italian drew gasps from the crowds at the Bay Hill Invitational with a phenomenal birdie putt at the par 3 17th, which the official Shot Tracker computer measured at 61 feet!

Phil Kenyon is also the putting coach to Joost Luiten (officially sponsored by Yes! Golf EU) who finished 9th in the Irish Open. He was 2nd to Padraig Harrington in putts per round and 5th in putts per GIR.

In recent years, Yes! Golf has seen an explosion in sales of its approved putting training aids. Each of the 25 training aids featured on the Yes! Golf UK website has either been designed by Yes! Golf and HSPSE experts, or vigorously tested by them for efficacy and performance enhancement.

In addition to the Roger Brooks-designed aids, Yes! Golf and HSPSE Tour coaches have enjoyed huge Tour pro coaching successes with products designed by Esoteric Golf and Harold Swash himself. www.yesgolf.co.uk
