Yamaha launch the ‘Drive’

Yamaha Motor U.K has completely redesigned both driver and passenger space in the ‘Drive’ Golf Car, which is available in both petrol and electric models.

Yamaha Motor U.K. announces the launch of the Yamaha ‘Drive’ Golf Car. Brian Swinden, manager Golf Cars for Yamaha Motor U.K. says, “The ‘Drive’ represents Yamaha’s 50 year pedigree in building motor products and our constant drive for excellence in all products.”
There are two models in the ‘Drive’ range; the petrol car has the Yamaha built 357cc engine; the electric model is powered by a 48 volt motor and is fitted with 4 x 12 volt Trojan batteries.
The ‘Drive’ has a redesigned chassis which is 2.5 times stronger and 20% lighter. It has an industry first, enclosed disk brake system eliminating brake drums and shoes which is virtually maintenance free.
Brian Swinden, concludes, “When you sit in the ‘Drive’ you will see and feel the difference. A completely redesigned driver and passenger space includes the largest and most comfortable contoured seat of any golf car which further underlines Yamaha’s attention to detail.”
