Wiedenmann UK launches new trading division

9.23am 6th October 2008 - Corporate

Wiedenmann UK has set up a new trading division to market a range of heavy duty bulk top dressing machinery, grass grooming and regeneration machines, professional rotary decks and high-performance turbine collection systems. Called Groundpro, the new division launches with immediate effect.

It means as well as distributing the highly successful Wiedenmann range of Terra Spikes and turf and ground care equipment, the company will sell other complementary equipment.

One such machine is the Pro-Cast bulk top dresser which comes in four sizes and can achieve a spread of both dry or wet material up to 16m.

David Rae, managing director, Wiedenmann UK said, “We have been involved with the distribution of machines like Pro-Cast informally for the last few years but I’ve always wanted to run them alongside the Wiedenmann range. They are essential pieces of kit that sit comfortably with the Wiedenmann fleet.

“Each of the Groundpro products will share many of the characteristics you would find synonymous with the Wiedenmann brand – robust build quality; technically efficient design and ease-of-use.”

Groundpro products will be offered to the market through professional groundcare dealers nationwide.

In other company news Wiedenmann UK has for the third successive year been awarded the accolade ‘Best European Distributor’ by turf and ground care specialists, Wiedenmann.

David Rae said, “It’s exactly 20 years since my brother Martin, my father Alistair and I attended a German trade fair where we met the Wiedenmann family embarking on the early prototypes of the famous Terra Spike deep, fast aerators. We’ve watched the product range expand and Wiedenmann GmbH become truly a worldwide exporter. Wiedenmann turf and ground care machinery is now available in 48 countries, so it’s particularly satisfying for our twenty dealers across the UK and Ireland to be recognised for their ongoing efforts.”
