Deutsche Golf Consult (DGC) is one of the leading European golf course design companies with their headquarters in Essen – Germany is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Several DGC staff are members of the EIGCA (European Institute of Golf Course Architects).
To date the company has constructed over 90 golf courses and worked on more than 200 golf projects in 15 countries.
Deutsche Golf Consult was founded in 1978, by Rainer Preissmann and Karl Grohs. Baron Maximilian von Wendt joined them in 1994.
DGC prides itself in designing golf courses that satisfy the requirements of every level of playing ability. This makes the sport enjoyable for all golfers. The company has a highly experienced staff and also works closely in an advisory capacity with other experts within the golf industry. Amongst DGC’s several major projects are:
- Fleesensee Golf & Tennis Resort – Germany’s top sport resort with three hotels, four-18 hole golf courses, indoor and outdoor tennis courts and a modern equestrian centre.
- Lake Fuxian Resort,-China – one of the major residential, holiday and sport resort developments in the Far East.
- PGA European Tour Players Championship at Gut Kaden in Hamburg; the company was responsible for extending the course to 27 holes and for the updating and reconstruction of this prestigious PGA Tour course.
