Turf machines demo on the Internet

A Dutch company founded in the nineteenth century is using twenty-first century technology to demonstrate its range of rotary decompactors, slitters and aerators

Imants B.V. was established in 1886 at Reusel, a small town in the south of Holland, by the Imants family to manufacture horse drawn ploughs and other agricultural implements. Hand tools such as shovels and spades were also produced.

The company built a reputation for the quality of its products that it proudly maintains to this day with modern research and development techniques and state of the art production methods.

The rotary decompactor is an Imants invention. Known as the “Shockwave” in the UK and “EarthQuake” elsewhere, the machine is easily recognisable in its yellow and blue livery. It can be used on all sports surfaces including golf greens and tees.

Also in the Imants range is the totally re-designed “RotoKnife” slitter/aerator. The RotoKnife is a multi-function rootzone management tool.

The company has made two films that demonstrate how these machines work, the benefits they bring and the various specifications and sizes available. The ‘movies’ can be viewed on the Internet at http://www.rotoknife.com/pages_uk/index.asp
