True Temper Sports, Inc. has opened its newest golf shaft manufacturing operation located just outside Shanghai in Suzhou, China. The metals forming facility, which has been under construction for the past two years, will provide the needed capacity and expansion for the Company following its acquisition of the Royal Precision brands in 2006.
Commenting on the event, Scott Hennessy, president and CEO, stated, “This marks a true milestone in our company’s history. This start-up facility will provide us with the opportunity to more fully service and support the growing golf industry throughout the world, particularly in Asia.” He went on to say that production at the site will begin in the next few months and will become fully operational in 2008.
