TheSocialGolfer.com and PremieLakeBalls.com have agreed a year-long partnership whereby PLB will offer exclusive deals to TSG members, while PLB will adopt ‘official partner’ status at all four ‘Major’ competitions the site holds each year including the TSG Masters(Warley Park), TSG Par 3 Championship (Pedham Place) and TSG MatchPLay (Woldingham) and TSG OPEN(venue tbc).
In addition, TSG will host and promote PLB deals to its members via both its monthly newsletter (5k+) and via TSG mail. PLB will also be providing TSG with exclusive blog content throughout the year.
Since its official launch five years ago, TSG has firmly established itself as one of the most useful golfing websites in the South East and all over the UK. The site was named Microsoft Start-Up of the day in 2010, short-listed to be an Official England Golf Partner in 2014 and is currently a Top 25 Influencer in Golf on Twitter. In 2015, it won ‘Best Sports Website’ at the EDA’s. The site currently has over 4,500 registered users in the UK and 9,000+ worldwide.
Premier Lake Balls is a family run business based in the North East of England. Established in 2004, it has established itself as the number 1 golf ball supplier in the UK. Of the estimated 100 million missing golf balls recovered each year, 2.5 million make their way into Premier Lake Ball’s warehouse.
The agreement, negotiated between Premier Lake Balls Managing Director Scott Phillip and TSG Managing Director, Ian Mullins will last from March 2016 to February 2017 and hopefully beyond.
Commenting on the deal, Phillips said: “We have been promoting our service via our website and Google Adwords for a number of years but we felt the time was now right for us to expand our coverage and work closer with other online publishers to improve both our brand awareness and sales. By partnering with The Social Golfer we believe we can help its members form a deeper understanding of our service and highlight the environmentally friendly advantages of buying recycled balls. We look forward to working with Ian and his team.”
Mullins said: “When Scott first approached us to discuss working together it was obvious that we were both answering our commercial objectives but also felt it was a great opportunity for us to promote our Eco-friendly credentials at the same time. We believe it is paramount that Golfers are made aware that there are other options available, other than only buying new golf’s balls and we look forward to hosting plenty of interesting content on TSG on behalf of Scott and his team.”
