The UK’s Fastest Green Fee Website

12.30am 19th April 2007 - Corporate

Golfers looking to find and book their next round of golf can now choose from more than 6,000 great value green fees following the launch of new website www.TeeTimes.co.uk.

The number of available rounds is growing every day as TeeTimes.co.uk offers golfers the fastest way to book golf on the internet and a UK-wide choice of courses, times and deals.

The site opened in March 2007 and golfers find themselves just one click away from significantly reduced-price rounds of golf, including up to 60% off the normal rate. And if they register, they also receive a weekly newsletter containing unbelievable email-only deals – which could even offer a free round.

TeeTimes.co.uk managing director, Paul Heeney, said, “We give golfers incredible choice and value and the ability to find and book their next round of golf quickly and reliably. It’s just like booking a flight or a hotel – where the majority of transactions now take place online. Registering to use TeeTimes.co.uk is free and there’s no added commission to pay when booking a tee time.

“We have examples of groups of golfers booking a round of golf on the site and turning up at the club to tee off less than an hour later. It’s that fast and simple.”

More than 70 clubs across the UK are promoting tee times on TeeTimes.co.uk and that number is expected to swell to more than 200 by the end of the summer.

Renowned courses include Forest Pines, which has hosted PGA events, and the Dave Thomas-designed Donnington Grove Country Club, while golf at hotel groups De Vere and Q-Hotels is also available on the site.

Paul Heeney, a former PGA pro, added, “In the next few years the majority of casual golf in the UK will be booked online because it is the simplest way to organise a game. Unlike 2 for 1 schemes, where vouchers or passports have to be bought by the golfer in advance and then presented at the club, at TeeTimes.co.uk the golfer simply finds and books the golf – and gets an email confirmation.

“Clubs also get automatic email confirmation of all tee times that are booked so all golfers have to do is turn up at the club, pay the green fee and tee off.”

Paul helped launch Ireland’s most successful online tee time booking service in 2003 and believes UK golfers will find TeeTimes.co.uk easy to use, with clear navigation and a fast search engine.

Information is provided about every course on the site and each month new registrants can enter special prize draws – a new Nike Sumo2 square driver was given away in March followed by a Callaway FTi square driver in April.

“Having developed Ireland’s leading online golf booking service we totally understand what golfers want – and that’s value and choice combined with the fastest and easiest way to book,” concluded Paul. “TeeTimes.co.uk offers the ultimate hassle-free way to find and book golf.”

www.teetimes.co.uk is owned by Online Teetimes Ltd – the leading internet green fee company. Last year it announced a record 35% increase in online bookings in Ireland, averaging 600 rounds per club, with one club recording more than 1,400 online sales.

OTL’s office in Grantham, Lincolnshire is a base for its launch into the UK golf club market.
