Your Golf Marketing chosen to drive new Handicap and Pro membership and YGM founder Darren Redwood will be working closely with The Social Golfer team to drive more site visitors and ultimately drive membership
One of the UK’s largest golf society networks, The Social Golfer, with over 8k registered users and more than 14k worldwide, has chosen Your Golf Marketing to help continue its growth through Social Media.
The appointment will see Your Golf Marketing founder Darren Redwood working closely with The Social Golfer team to drive more site visitors and ultimately drive membership.
In the short term, Darren has been tasked with creating both targeted and engaging content via social media feeds but will later work on promoting the platform via paid advertising.
The Social Golfer launched in 2010 and has steadily grown its database and monthly users to more than 28k unique visitors a month via good SEO and word-of-mouth. However, by bringing in a dedicated Social Media specialist, the site hopes to grow this to 50k monthly users over the next 3 years.
The current brand strategy focuses on “Bringing Golfers Together” by way of a platform on which to arrange games with other golfers and to share and their scores and opinions of their beloved sport. Their newly launched Handicap System is unique, as you can submit a scorecard from any country in the world, not just your home nation.
In addition to these member benefits, The Social Golfer also holds its own four members’ ‘Major’ events each year including The Social Golfer Masters, The Social Golfer Par 3 Championship and The Social Golfer Match Play.
Your Golf Marketing will begin working with The Social Golfer from 1st August, with its first task to promote the upcoming 2023 Social Golfer OPEN in September, in aid of the Afriyea Golf Academy in Uganda.
