TaylorMade expands custom-fitting team

10.10am 22nd July 2020 - Corporate

TaylorMade Golf is taking on five more staff for its custom-fitting team following a significant upturn in custom orders during the second quarter of the year.

In Q1 2020 TaylorMade’s UK & Ireland Experiential team expanded by five members of staff to improve its service output, however, the company recognise that many retailers are trying to recoup lost revenue due to Covid-19, so are recruiting another five technicians to further support their account base and drive businesses forward.

With the new technicians added to the already expanded Experiential team, TaylorMade will be able to host around 100 more custom fitting events per month.

The company’s experiential team have witnessed extremely successful custom fitting events since 1-1 interactions were per permitted during lockdown. The mixture of high product demand, a boom in the industry, and well executed events have proven financially lucrative for many of TaylorMade’s retail partners and helped reignite their cashflow.

Simon Gilbert, TaylorMade Golf’s Senior Marketing & Experiential Manager, said: “The performance of the experiential events post lockdown has been unbelievable. The team are working tirelessly to maximise custom sales for our retail partners and I’m excited to increase the level of support we can offer.”
