Speedcut Contractors have completed a number of golf projects across the south of England.
At Foxhills Golf Club and Resort, Surrey, they completely reconstructed the 17th green of the Bernard Hunt course as well as further tee laser-grading and installing new paths.
They have also installed pipe drainage to the 8th and 9th greens on the Long Cross course, and secondary drainage on the driving range as part of an ongoing programme of improvements.
At Orpington Golf Centre, Kent, they have levelled and regraded three tees – with a fourth new tee built as part of ongoing improvements to the facilities at the centre, which encompasses two 18-hole courses: Cray Valley and Ruxley Park. Orpington GC is owned by MyTime Active Leisure, who use Speedcut as their regular contractor.
Speedcut have also installed drainage at Iford Golf Centre, Bournemouth, Dorset, part of Christchurch Golf Club which has two courses – the Bridge with 18 holes (par 72) and Stour, which has nine holes (par 27).
Barry Pace, Speedcut contracts manager, says: “”We have been taking full advantage of the excellent summer conditions this year to complete various sportsturf projects across the country and are delighted with the progress being made – especially when compared to the dreadful weather this time last year.”
