Specialist service for water features

Lely UK is the new distributor for Otterbine lake and pond water-quality management systems

Lely UK hopes to capitalise on the rising use of water features in landscape design schemes for locations such as golf courses, sports complexes and amenity facilities. The new distributor for Otterbine lake and pond water-quality management systems has put in place a specialist team of Lely staff and independent contractors who will offer an expert service to golf course and landscape architects and other professionals working in landscape design.
Golf, sports and amenity sites are among many types of locations that are increasingly using water features such as fountains in their landscapes to beautify their settings; as well as in many cases to provide an irrigation reservoir as part of measures to ensure tip-top presentation of their turf. This is bringing with it a requirement for maintaining and managing water quality.
Otterbine-Barebo, from Pennsylvania, USA, is the worldwide leader for water aeration systems, fountains and other associated products, with 300 distributors and 90 service centres around the globe.
Chief executive Charlie Barebo attended a recent get-together of the new team at Lely’s St Neots, Huntingdon, headquarters. There he outlined details of new Otterbine products coming through and talked about the growing market for water-quality management and the key principles it involved.
Lely UK is also the distributor for the well-known Toro range of irrigation products and turf maintenance equipment, which complement Otterbine’s own offering of industrial aerators, aerating fountains and pure fountains.
