Organisers of The 2007 Solheim Cup have entered into a new agreement with Club Car, which will remain the official supplier of golf cars and golf utility vehicles to the 2007 Solheim Cup at Halmstad Golfklubb, Halmstad, Sweden, from 14-16 September.
“Club Car performed a valuable service at The 2003 Solheim Cup when it was last held in Europe. Everyone has fantastic memories of the Club Car team transforming the captain’s golf car overnight so that the injured European captain was still able to get around the course and guide the European Team to victory,” said Steen Scherff, area manager for Club Car in central and northern Europe. “We look forward to working with The Solheim Cup once again this year. Supporting the game of golf is key to us at Club Car.”
John A. Solheim, chairman and CEO of PING, added, “I‘m very pleased to see Club Car involved in The Solheim Cup once again. I have always enjoyed the work Club Car has done.
