SkyCaddie scores unprecedented Top 15 finishers in Legends Tour event

1.50pm 13th September 2023 - Corporate

75% of all competitors used SkyCaddie GPS in the WCM Legends Open de France as they challenged for the €350k Euros prize purse, with Brazilian golfer Adilson Da Silva lifting the trophy after a closing 68 at the Par 71 Golf de Saint-Cloud.

Da Silva’s -15 total secured him a three-shot victory over Sweden’s Michael Jonzon, with South African golfer Keith Horne a shot further back in third.

“22 out of the top 22 and ties last week is an unprecedented endorsement for the shot-saving power of SkyCaddie GPS, and we congratulate Adilson on his fine victory!” said SkyCaddie’s James Holmes.

“We don’t pay any players to use our GPS devices, and yet a huge percentage of the field used them for their yardages in France last weekend. This is the strongest evidence yet that SkyCaddie GPS provides competitive golfers with distance information that you simply cannot get with a laser.”

Da Silva, who hit the opening shot in golf’s return to The Olympics in 2016, was using SkyCaddie GPS in a tournament for only the fourth time.

He now stands in third place in the Race To Mauritius Order Of Merit with fellow SkyCaddie GPS user Peter Baker currently leading the race.

“The proof is now there – when the chips are down, tour pros are using SkyCaddie GPS from tee to green,” said Holmes. “Our on-foot mapping is unique in the sport, and competitors on the Legends Tour clearly trust SkyCaddie’s exclusive yardage information.”

SkyCaddie became the Official Distance Measurement Device of the Legends Tour in summer 2023.
