Rumours of Yes! Golf success… the figures prove it

8.38am 6th June 2008 - Corporate

Yes! Golf Europe reports sales up 30% on the first quarter 2007 in what is proving to be one of the fastest-moving periods in the European growth of the brand outside the British Isles.

Yes! Golf EU is based in Reuver in The Netherlands, from where it services distributors form Iceland to Moscow and Finland to The Balkans. Nearby Eindhoven has also seen the launch this year of mainland Europe’s first Yes! Golf Custom-fit Centre.

Until recently, most club golfers would never dream of having a set of clubs custom-built for themselves, believing it was only Tour players who did this. Even among Tour players, custom-fitting putters was never a consideration. The falling price of golf club components and the growing number of Yes! Golf Custom-fit Centres throughout Britain & Ireland has changed all this.

Aad van Os – MD of Approach Golf in The Netherlands and master distributor for Yes! Golf in the EU – comments, “We have seen a marked shift in how people perceive the Yes! Putters in the last 12 months. Just a year ago, people would approach us at Tour events or at retail promotions because they were curious and wanted to find out more. This year, due to a growing amount of professional wins and general increased Tour exposure, people know who Yes! Golf is and precisely what C-Groove technology does.”

Club professionals appreciate the principles of custom-fitting putters and they know that Yes! was the first brand to offer the service. Club golfers who are serious about improving their scores are referred increasingly to Yes! by their coaches. It only takes one or two golfers in a golf club to demonstrate how their putting has improved for other club members to want the same.

“The custom centre in Eindhoven is experiencing a spike in advance bookings as word quickly spreads,” says Aad van Os. “We’re already getting as many golfers from across the border in Germany as we are getting golfers from within Holland itself.”
