The Tartan Wednesday Pro-Am on the eve of the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open last week certainly was a bright and brilliant event. Players, spectators and event staff were encouraged to don their most dazzling tartans to raise money for the tournament’s Official Charity, CLIC Sargent.
This year more than 50 professionals and amateurs were sporting tartan trousers provided by Scotland’s brightest golf clothing brand, Royal & Awesome.
“We were delighted to be asked to support Tartan Wednesday,” said Royal & Awesome General Manager, Graeme Smeaton. “We’re proud to be Scottish and we love it when people wear bright trews to stand out, have fun and ideally raise lots of money for causes close to their hearts. So this event is the perfect fit for us.”
This involvement in a major European Tour event is the cherry on top of a fantastic few months for Royal & Awesome; strong growth so far in 2016 has taken monthly revenues consistently into six figures and the brand’s Facebook page recently exceeded 200k followers.
