Royal & Awesome Extend ‘Opening Offer’ Deal

Royal and AwesomeScotland’s most spectacular golf clothing brand, Royal & Awesome, has extended its popular ‘opening offer’ for golf retailers across the UK, following a series of successful campaigns by retail partners this summer.

The offer, which allows new retail accounts to buy four pairs of trousers and get a fifth pair free, gives shop owners the perfect display range at the wholesale price of just £104 and is guaranteed to add a bit of fun and colour to any pro shop this autumn.

What’s more, confirmed customer orders can then be re-ordered directly from Royal & Awesome with no minimum order quantities.

Dave Clark, the head professional at Birstall GC, was one of the first to take up the offer earlier this summer and, with a very small initial investment, has been able to deliver retail sales of more than £2,000.

Clarke added: “We gave the radically different Royal & Awesome brand a chance by buying a small range for just over £100 and then reordering to fulfill confirmed customer orders. The brand is certainly one of the leading success stories of a bright summer and it has certainly brought a bit of fun to the club.

“We have now sold more than 50 units of Royal & Awesome in two months, including record ladies’ clothing sales in 2013 – almost entirely down to the introduction of these bright new designs.”

Furthermore, specialist sports retailer Gannon Sports attributes the ‘buzz’ created by displaying Royal & Awesome clothing in its store to an increase of total trouser sales of 500 per cent, including £10,000 of Royal & Awesome clothing sales.

Owner Brian Gannon said: “A simple but effective window display attracted people into our store. It was then all about embracing the banter and selling in a fun way, talking about how much fun it is to play golf in the clothing and that it would get them noticed – if they were up for it!

“I have also been delighted by the number of impulse and add-on purchases, as people buy shirts and belts to go with their new trousers.”

Royal and Awesome has had much to celebrate this summer, with a growing following of 70,000 Facebook fans, doubling revenues and a range of successful marketing initiatives – culminating in an extensive presence at the Open Championships, where they were featured by the BBC and STV and pictured with Rory McIlroy and Nick Faldo.

Royal & Awesome’s range of eye-catching golf trousers, shorts and hats is ‘perfect for the pars and the bars’. The brand has recently launched plus-twos as well as women’s pants, shorts and skorts in the dazzling designs, complemented by a range of men’s and women’s shirts, socks and belts.

The ‘Awesomes’ – the brand’s range of brightly designed golf trousers – build on the wonderful heritage and history of golf in Scotland by adding a whole lot of fun and colour, and are guaranteed to make an impact on the course, the clubhouse or the corporate jolly. All of the brand’s ‘bottoms’ come with a free golf tool/bottle opener, which is a nod to its strap line of ‘for the pars and the bars’.
