Effective August 1, 2012, Ransomes Jacobsen, the Ipswich-based turf maintenance equipment manufacturer and Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, will increase its distribution network across Sweden with the addition of two dedicated distributors in the south and north of the country.
LHS Maskiner AB (LHS) ofSundsvall, has been a Ransomes Jacobsen sub-dealer for 22 years and will now be responsible for thenorthern territorycovering the counties of Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Jämtland, Västernorrland and parts of Gävleborg. Founded in 1990 by Lars Huss and Lars Stenberg, the main focus of the business is the sale of professional construction and lawn and garden equipment to golf courses, municipalities, cemeteries and housing.
Gräsvårdsmaskiner i Malmö AB (GVM) was established in 1984 and is owned by Jon Fundahn, whose father Olle has worked with the Ransomes brand since 1958. Operating from modern premises in Malmö, they have wide experience of the golf and municipal sectors through their Bernhard and Kubota franchises. Their territory covers Skåne, Blekinge, Öland and parts of Halland and Småland.
Situated between the newly appointed distributors in the central area of the country is the incumbent distributor, Svenningsens Turfcare AB. Part of the Danish owned Svenningsens Group, they will concentrate their activities across the central belt providing enhanced levels of sales and service support to their established customer-base.
