Ransomes Jacobsen launch global website

7.08am 24th February 2009 - Corporate

Ransomes Jacobsen, the Suffolk based turf maintenance equipment manufacturer, has launched a new global website, merging the two independent sites previously hosted by the UK company and their sister company Jacobsen in the USA.

A wide range of additional features and enhancements, including animation, have been introduced to make the site more user-friendly.

The new look site is interactive, easier to navigate, features more training videos and safety information, has a Frequently Asked Questions section with a search function and allows customers to easily request price quotes and equipment demos through links on each product page. There is also a direct link to the Cutting Edge Training pages highlighting a range of educational packages for the grounds care professional.

“The goal of this design was to make all of the information that our customers need, more accessible and constantly up-to-date,” said Greg Spray, marketing manager at the Ipswich-based turf equipment manufacturer. “All of our product information is now centrally located. Specifications, manuals, recommended parts lists, product articles, and all available training videos for any given product are all in one place.”

Although there is now more total information, the site is regionalised so customers can easily locate specifications and news about the equipment available to them without having to look at information specific to other regions.

The database driven design results in changes made to technical information being automatically updated, allowing visitors to view the most current and most accurate information.

“These upgrades to our website provide our customers with all the information they need about our company, service and products, anytime they need it – 24 hours per day, seven days per week,” Greg Spray added.
