The Stamford, Lincs-based company has become the media agency for UK Golf Services – worldwide distributors of Stuburt golf shoes and waterproofs and UK and European distributors of Ram Golf.
UKGS joins the list of clients at Hiseman Partners which includes Playgolf Northwick Park – the £7 million ‘golf in an hour’ leisure complex in West London, UKOR Enterprise – UK distributors of Honma and Bridgestone, Urban Golf Gear – the Samuel L. Jackson-backed apparel firm from California, and The Shire London – the new Seve Ballesteros course in Barnet.
Managing director Andy Hiseman said, “We are delighted to become the media agency for UK Golf Services, who have two excellent equipment brands in Ram and Stuburt. Ram is firmly established in the golf market and is widely recognised throughout Europe, while there are exciting plans to establish Stuburt as a leading worldwide force in the golf shoe and waterproofs sector.
“Our expertise and experience in the golf media and our track record in bringing cutting-edge digital marketing initiatives to golf were critical in landing this account.”
Hiseman Partners will be working closely with UK Golf Services MD Graeme Stevens and operations director, Cliff Dews, to establish Ram and Stuburt as two of the best-known brands in golf.
A new account director has been appointed to specifically manage the UK Golf Services account – Craig Bousfield, a former advertising director with Emap’s golf and outdoors magazine portfolios.
Bousfield, 43, spent more than 16 years working at Britain’s second largest magazine publisher and brings a wealth of campaign management and media buying expertise to the Hiseman Partners team.
Craig Bousfield said, “I’m delighted to join Andy and the team at Hiseman Partners, especially to work on such an exciting account. UK Golf Services have done an amazing job with Ram and Stuburt, and I am looking forward to helping them grow both brands on a European – and in the case of Stuburt, worldwide – basis.
“I am also looking forward to working on all of the other accounts at Hiseman Partners, which include more new business wins which we have yet to announce.”
Bousfield joins Hiseman, 42, formerly publisher of Today’s Golfer and FORE! magazine, and creative & production director John Kelly, an award-winning national newspaper and magazine writer and editor.
Graeme Stevens from UK Golf Services said, “We chose Hiseman Partners because they are golf specialists, well-respected in the industry and because they have demonstrated they can effectively manage traditional and new media marketing campaigns.
“We are aiming high with Stuburt and Ram and we believe Hiseman Partners will deliver excellent marketing results for us, both on- and off-line.”
Hiseman Partners has also opened a new office in Stamford, and is set to announce several further new business wins in September 2006.
