La Cala, the renowned golf resort in southern Spain, has appointed Pure Sports Marketing to handle its PR and marketing communications, starting in 2019.

European marketing agency PSM, which counts some of the leading brands in the golf industry among its client list, specialises in creating effective marketing campaigns and PR within the golf industry and will manage all PR & media communications for the La Cala Resort across Europe.

Sean Corte-Real, General Manager of La Cala Resort commented: “We are delighted to appoint Pure Sports Marketing as our PR and marketing agency. La Cala has a huge amount to offer as a golf resort and we are confident that the team at PSM, with their extensive knowledge of the golf industry, will be a great asset to help further promote La Cala as one of the top golf resorts in Europe.”

Pure Sports Marketing managing director Darren Phillips said: “We strive to work with best-in-class brands, so we are delighted to be adding La Cala to our golf portfolio. It’s a superb resort with wonderful facilities. We’re very excited about our appointment and helping La Cala stand-out in the golf market.”

Situated in the foothills of the Mijas Mountains, La Cala features three championship courses – Campo America, Campo Asia and Campo Europa – all of which were designed by Cabell Robinson – and an additional 6-hole, par-3 course, and a golf academy. It also offers a 107-bedroom hotel, a spa and an extensive choice of restaurants and bars. There is also a FIFA-standard football pitch, running circuit, gym, tennis and squash courts.
