Power Tee proven to drive business forward

12.10am 12th August 2004 - Corporate

The vast majority of the 50 ranges to have installed Power Tee have
reported large increases in ball usage and many have paid off the purchase price in less than a year after installation.
“We have accumulated a lot of evidence that shows that our customers have
greatly enhanced their business by installing Power Tee and that is not
just at large golf centres but at smaller ranges as well,” said Martin Wyeth,
managing director of Golf-Tech and inventor of the Power Tee system.
“We have documentary proof that golf range users like the Power Tee system
and hit more balls as a result. I know of one range that saw a 50% increase in the first month after the installation and regularly meet other customers who tell us that installing Power Tee was one of the best business decisions they have ever made.”
Power Tee is the world’s most advanced automated teeing system and has been
heralded by range owners and PGA professionals alike.
“We now have five Power Tees in our golf practice centre and they are
proving to be a winner,” said Alan McGregor of the St Andrews Links Trust,
which became the 52nd golf facility to install Power Tee earlier this
summer.
“I delayed (building) a putting green and a short game practice area so I
could afford to fully automate my range and it has proved to be the best
business decision I have ever made,” agreed Mark Walker at the Oxford Golf
Centre. “
“I achieved full capital payback within 12 months of installing my 10 bay
Power Tee system,” confirmed Richard Higham at the Styal Golf Club in
Cheshire, “and that’s just from increased ball sales. There has also been a
large incremental benefit produced by increased footfall.”
Power Tee prides itself on its ability to install its system with minimal
disruption to business and that is something that has been appreciated by
many of its customers.
“Golf-Tech fully automated my busy 24 bay driving range without the need
for closure and the subsequent impact on my ball sales has been unbelievable,”
said Bill Woodman at Croydon Golf Driving Range.
“I noticed a 45.8% increase during the first week after installation and
that rose to over 54% by week five. 42.2% of the system was paid for after
the first quarter (13 weeks) and we achieved breakeven after 46 weeks.”
Since 1999 Golf-Tech Ltd’s Power Tee system has dispensed well over 100
million golf balls in a variety of busy city golf centres and club practice
facilities throughout Britain. The company currently counts St Andrews
Links, Wentworth Club and The De Vere Belfry among its customers but has
also installed the Power Tee system with considerable success at smaller
facilities all over the country.
“We believe that Power Tee can improve business at all sorts of different
types of ranges and would be only too pleased to travel to potential
customers to give them a realistic assessment of their needs.”
The Power Tee system can be either purchased or leased.
