PING puts a modern twist on a classic design

8.09am 15th January 2008 - Corporate

Leading golf equipment manufacturer PING has announced the launch its new Karsten series of putters that draws inspiration from some of the company’s most classic designs, such as Anser and Zing. By combining these timeless designs with the benefits of modern manufacturing processes designers have been able to produce a fantastic modern take on a timeless product.

The Karsten series is a perfect choice for golfers who prefer the performance and feedback of a steel face with the added benefits of an insert feel. This has been achieved by adding an elastomer insert in the cavity thus providing enhanced feel while maintaining the solid response of a steel-faced putter. Weight savings from the new cavity shapes have been redistributed to the perimeter to increase each putter’s moment-of-inertia for added forgiveness. Multi-level alignment aids are also designed into most models.

The Karsten series of putters represent the latest advancement in feel, forgiveness and alignment options, and as always with PING, has been designed so that they can be custom fitted to suit individual putting strokes.

Karsten Putters: UK prices £65 and £85
