Ping launch new website

PING has redesigned and officially re-launched its PINGGOLF.COM website. The site has been completely overhauled with emphasis placed on helping golfers understand the benefits of custom-fit golf clubs

The PINGGOLF.COM website, which was launched in 1996, has been expanded into a well-organised and simple-to-use compendium of information about the company and its custom-built Ping products. It features over 100 pages and more than 130 pop-up windows making it one of the most extensive web sites in the golf manufacturing industry.

The new site majors on the benefits of custom fitting but, in addition to its comprehensive A to Z guide on how properly fitted golf clubs can help your game, it also contains all sorts of other useful information for golfers who want to find out more about Ping and its innovative products.

For the first time, it includes a video factory tour of its headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona, during which the browser can watch the club making process from start to finish.

“We believe PINGGOLF.COM is now the ultimate Internet experience for golfers wanting to be custom-fit for golf clubs so that they can enjoy the game more and play their best,” said Pete Samuels, Ping advertising director. “We rebuilt PINGGOLF.COM in response to user requests and to meet the needs of golfers who want to know more about the benefits of buying custom-fit PING clubs.”

Portions of the site are being translated into foreign languages including Japanese, French, German, Italian, Swedish, Spanish, Korean, Malay, Mandarin and Thai. These translations should be completed later in 2001.
