9.00am 24th August 2007 - Corporate

PING Collection once again enjoyed tremendous sales success and fantastic brand exposure during the recent 2007 Barclays Scottish Open, held at Loch Lomond Golf Club, where, as Official Merchandise Retailer, PING Collection showcased its men’s, women’s and junior 2007 collections. In total the week saw a 52% increase on retail business from the previous years event.

As well as retailing at the Barclays Scottish Open, PING Collection also provided exclusive jackets, jumpers and caps to all volunteers and staging staff per day at the event. In total the brand supplied 666 jackets, 516 polo shirts and 668 hats to the event staff.

“The sales success and brand exposure we have achieved at such a prestigious event as the Barclays Scottish Open clearly demonstrates the rapid progress PING Collection has made within the British and European markets in recent years,” commented Simon McGuigan, marketing and operations manager of PING.

“We believe that the Barclays Scottish Open provides us with an ideal setting in which to showcase our brand, and we looked forward to a further 3 years association with the event.”
