PGB holds International Calvin Klein Golf Sales Conference

8.35am 12th August 2009 - Corporate

Attendees from 16 countries descended on Cork, the home of Calvin Klein Golf, to participate in the first international sales conference for the brand.

Calvin Klein Inc’s CEO and President, Tom Murry, set the tone with a rousing welcome message that outlined the ambitions of Calvin Klein Golf brand to become the most significant golf apparel brand in Europe over the next two years and their longer term aspirations for global market share.

The two-day itinerary included a tour of the CKG head quarters, a fashion show and in depth introduction to the first international Calvin Klein Golf collections for SS10. Each and every garment was designed in-house in Cork before being presented to Calvin Klein Inc’s Design Director, Kevin Carrigan, for his approval.

Grahame Jenkins, Managing Director of Premium Golf Brands is delighted with the initial reaction from Calvin Klein Inc and his newly appointed sales team, “Presenting our first Calvin Klein Golf collection to the design team in the US was an incredibly nerve racking occasion for all involved. The brand is exceptionally iconic and our task was to produce high quality garments that are desirable to a contemporary customer whilst retaining timeless appeal. The fact that only a handful of garments were turned down pays testament to the expertise of our team in Cork and the hard work that they have put in developing this range.”
