PowaKaddy Group Ltd, the market leading electric trolley company, that includes both the PowaKaddy and Hill Billy brands, has secured exclusive distribution rights for the world renowned Bag Boy product range for the UK & Ireland and will commence the marketing and sales strategy early in the New Year. The Bag Boy brand is known around the world as a leader in the walking cart, travel cover, and golf bag markets.
Terry Hale, CEO PowaKaddy Group Limited said, “Strategically this agreement makes a lot of sense. The companies complement themselves extremely well in terms of brand values, leadership positioning and a reputation for innovative designs and quality engineering. I am very confident that the Bag Boy distribution deal will add significant value to our UK business and in turn I am sure we will make a considerable contribution to Bag Boy’s ever increasing global presence.”
US based Bag Boy Company was founded in 1946 and is based in Richmond, Virginia. Bag Boy is recognised as an industry leader in the cart, travel cover and golf bag markets. PowaKaddy Group’s established sales network, retail customer base and marketing expertise will greatly enhance Bag Boy’s profile in the UK as Simon Homer, PowaKaddy’s sales director explains, “Bag Boy is a clear market leader in the US and other territories around the world and we are very confident that we can emulate that success in the UK and capture the market with Bag Boy’s innovative push carts, bags and travel covers. Our strong relationships with retailers coupled with our marketing clout and reputation for first class service mean we can establish the Bag Boy business very quickly in the UK.”
Bag Boy’s management team also sees the agreement as a positive move for the Bag Boy brand. “The synergies between Bag Boy and PowaKaddy are obvious, and we have every faith that Terry and his team will make effective in-roads into the UK market and further extend the global reach of the Bag Boy brand,” commented David Boardman, CEO of The Bag Boy Company.
PowaKaddy Group has performed strongly in 2008 with the continued success of the best selling PowaKaddy Freeway and the high profile relaunch of the Hill Billy brand. With the Bag Boy distribution announcement and new innovative PowaKaddy products on the way, PowaKaddy Group’s success looks set to continue in 2009.
