PowaKaddy, the number one name in powered carts, continues to be the clear number one choice with UK golfers according to the latest independent consumer research. Over 48% of electric trolley users in the survey own a PowaKaddy, more than double the share of the nearest competitor brand.

The survey carried about by The JRW Group, the UK’s leading golf insurance provider, had over 12,000 respondents from a broad range of handicaps, ages and geographical regions, representing a comprehensive cross section of the UK golf market.

Equally encouraging for the market leading brand is that when asked which brand they would choose for their next purchase, 47% of the respondents chose PowaKaddy – underlining the brand’s continued popularity with its core target audience, despite the ever growing choice of brands in the electric trolley market.

The use of electric trolleys has grown considerably in the last decade, a fact endorsed in these latest survey figures which also reveal that of all the 12,000 respondents 45% use an electric trolley – making it clearly the most popular mode of golf club transportation ahead of pull/push trolley (33%), carry (20%) and buggy (2%).

PowaKaddy’s impressive UK market share figures look set to be given a further boost this season after the successful launch of the new flagship product, the PK SPORT in April.

Simon Homer, PowaKaddy’s Sales Director commented: “It is great that PowaKaddy has maintained the position as the preferred choice of so many UK golfers. Consumer demand for the brand is extremely high right now and with our new SPORT product ably supported by the innovative TOUCH trolley and the ever popular Freeway, we are looking forward to a strong season ahead.”

The new SPORT’s headline features are a new handle design and speed control roller, which combine to make the SPORT the most user friendly electric trolley on the market. In addition the SPORT combines strong and lightweight materials with a powerful yet whisper quiet 200 watt motor, to create an aesthetically pleasing but uncompromisingly robust, state-of-the-art electric trolley.
