NFS Hospitality, the hospitality software specialists, are celebrating after The London Golf Club chose to tee up with their IBS Golf Club Management software aimed at making light work of membership management.

Situated near Brands Hatch in Kent, The London Golf Club is the home to two Jack Nicklaus designed courses, where addressing the needs of their high end members is just as essential as playing from the correct handicap.

Heath Harvey, the club’s general manager, has been in the golf industry business for over ten years in sales and marketing and general management. Prior to the London Golf Club, Heath had worked at Stoke Park and Wentworth.

Nowadays many golf clubs aim to be thriving businesses and Heath is at the forefront of this changing landscape. Through his leadership, The London Golf Club is taking actions to evolve the operation into a successful golf and leisure business. Important catalysts for development of the business will be an enlightened approach to golf club management, adopting the right technology solutions and placing better customer service at the top of the agenda.

Heath Harvey, said, “After 15 years of using the same hospitality management system, it became clear that The London Golf Club was evolving into a multi-faceted golf and leisure business and our system needs were changing with this evolution.”

With over 55,000 rounds of golf per year across its two courses, the club also required a software solution that would address the needs of their visitors who are able to play the international course only.

The London Golf Club also has a significant corporate hospitality and events business, which is seen as an important revenue stream, contributing to the club’s successful operation and utilisation of facilities.

Heath Harvey added, “The London Golf Club’s requirement to offer our customers a seamless experience meant that we were forced to investigate market leading management systems that would allow us to stay ahead of the game and deliver the highest levels of customer service.”

With this brief in mind, NFS Hospitality rose to the challenge with their innovative golf management software.

“In looking for a best-of-breed system,” said Heath, “The London Golf Club needed to address a broad spectrum of requirements from a complex corporate membership structure through to extensive hospitality during our tournaments. We are confident that the new IBS hospitality software will address these needs and that the support team behind the products will provide our management team with the backup they require.”

Steve Salter, PGA professional and head of NFS’ golf and leisure division, said, “With knowledge of the industry both in the UK and internationally, I joined the NFS team as a PGA professional to lead the golf and leisure project. To me the IBS product represents the best technology solution in the golf market today. Combining this product with outstanding customer service from NFS gives me great confidence that we will be able to offer the solution that today’s modern golf club needs.”

Peter Carter, marketing manager, said, “Our software proved to be the ideal solution for The London Golf Club and we are really happy that we were able to find a software solution that could maximise both customer satisfaction and loyalty.”
