From today December British Seed Houses has a new name – Germinal Seeds GB. The change is being made to clarify the company’s position as part of the Germinal Holdings Group and to achieve consistency with the group companies throughout the world.
William Gilbert, Managing Director, said: “It does not impact in any other way upon day to day operations or upon our customers’ relationship with us. We will continue to provide the same service, the same commitment and the same high quality products. Contact at the company will remain the same.
“Germinal Holdings’ interests now extend well beyond the British Isles, with seed production, research and development leading to significant sales taking place as far afield as New Zealand but also throughout Europe and other continents.
“There are clear advantages in adopting a common name across wholesale companies, for consistency but also to convey common standards and aspirations.
“We will continue to base the majority of our grass production in Britain as it offers major advantages in quality control.
“So while it will be ‘business as usual’, the name change is also a sign of our intention to maintain strong progress across the Germinal Group, through continued innovation and expansion.”
